Logging into Habet is simple — just enter your mobile number or email address along with your password. Behind that simple process, however, is a robust security system that keeps your account and funds protected at all times.
Mobile Number vs. Email — Which Should You Use to Log In
There are two ways to log in to Habet — with your mobile number or your email address. Both work equally well. That said, most users in Bangladesh find the mobile number option more convenient, since your number is easy to remember whereas email addresses are often forgotten.
If your mobile number has changed or you no longer have access to it, log in with your email instead. If you don't have access to that either, contact the support team — after verifying your identity, they can add a new mobile number or email to your account.
Why Use an Alternative — Key Reminders
The "Remember Me" option on the login form saves your login details in the browser temporarily, so you don't have to enter your password every time. This is fine on your own personal phone or computer. However, never enable this option on a shared or public device — such as a cyber café computer or a friend's phone. In those cases, always log out when you're done and clear your browser history.
Why You Should Keep Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Enabled
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Habet adds an extra layer of security to your account. With 2FA enabled, your password alone is not enough to log in — you'll also need to enter the OTP sent to your mobile. So even if someone gets hold of your password, they still won't be able to access your account, because the OTP is delivered only to your phone.
Online fraud is on the rise in Bangladesh, and passwords are frequently stolen through phishing or social engineering. Having 2FA enabled significantly reduces this risk. Habet strongly recommends that all members keep 2FA turned on.
Device Management — See Which Devices Are Logged In
In Habet's account settings, go to the "Active Sessions" or "Device Management" section to see which devices are currently logged into your account. If you spot an unfamiliar device, immediately end that session and change your password. Then notify the support team — they can help put additional security measures in place.
Login via Mobile App
Logging into Habet on the Android or iOS app is just as easy as on the website. Once you log in, you can enable biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock) for faster access in the future. To download the app, Download Page page.
If your phone is lost or stolen while still logged into the app, log into Habet from another device and end the lost phone's session under "Device Management". It takes effect immediately.
What to Do If Your Account Gets Locked
After 5 consecutive failed login attempts, Habet's system will temporarily lock your account — this is a security measure. It typically unlocks automatically after 30 minutes. If you need access sooner, follow the password reset process. If your account remains locked after multiple failed attempts, contact the support team.
Tips for Keeping Your Password Secure
Never use your Habet account password on any other website. If you reuse the same password elsewhere and that site gets hacked, your Habet account could be compromised as well. It's good practice to change your password every 3 to 6 months. Never share your password via SMS or chat — and note that Habet support will never ask for your password. If anyone contacts you claiming to be Habet support and asks for your password, it's a scam — report it to support right away.
In short: log in to Habet with your own credentials, keep 2FA enabled, turn off "Remember Me" on shared devices, and change your password immediately if you notice any suspicious activity.
